No. 4 was the best thing that I could have done last year. It really helps you remember the particular parts of a book and what you wanted to say about it.

That are some great goals. I recognize the buying duplicate ones. Now when in doubt I do not buy them anymore until I verified at home :)

I've recently started taking notes again (or writing a review writing after) and it makes a big difference.
Reviews in a timely manner...sigh...this will forever be a goal I strive for with only partial success I fear ;P

Good luck with all of your challenges and goals for 2013!! If you read any ebooks, I find it helpful to highlight quotes or sections I want to use in a review. It will generate a list with all of the highlighted material.

Ooo taking notes on books for reviews is something that I've always meant to do, but never do. I think it's because I read mostly while commuting, and can't be bothered to juggle my bags and a book AND a notebook! It's a bit of a pipe dream, I guess.

@Ciska - That's what I normally do, but sometimes I pick it up and don't even think I've got it LOL but with others that I'm unsure, I just wait til I get home to check.

@Sara - That's the plan...don't commend me yet I haven't done it yet LOL it's gonna be very difficult but I really must put some sort of discipline in my book buying.

@Esty & @Jacque - I've only really got one very large bookshelf but the majority of those are unread books. Most of my duplicates are from series' as I'd see it's a book from that series and just grab it to complete my series only to realise that I've already got that book :(

@Jacque - Thanks for the tip, it's a very helpful one.
