Welcome to KMB, this week Kathy has stuck with the Top Ten. As I mentioned last week, you don't have to answer ten per question, you may answer ten for one question or answer one for all the questions, or whatever you want to do...this is a fun meme to encourage Bloggers and Readers to get to know each other better.

I wish that some of the blogs I subscribe to would participate so I can get to know the writer of these blogs a bit better. Please spread the word of the KMB meme so that more will participate...the more the merrier and all that jazz!

Things you'd rather be doing right this moment

  1. On holidays at Bora Bora
  2. Sightseeing and Shopping at Venice or Paris
  3. In a day spa getting the full treatment

Know Me Better (KMB)

1. Pieces of Advice you have for aspiring writers?
I haven't written stories since I was a child so I don't really have much experience in giving advice,  but one I've noticed even writing book reviews, is write it, take a break and then re-read/edit. Don't do the editing in one sitting as chances are you won't be able to pick out the mistakes as you've been watching those words for far too long already.

2. Favorite TV show when you were younger?

When I was a child I liked Cartoons and Soap Operas, but two that stand out to me in these categories are Power Rangers and Santa Barbara.

3. What would we find if we looked under your bed?

Lots of dust, dust and maybe an odd sock here and there from my puppy dragging it there...grrr!

4. Book Store or Library?

Both for different purposes but if money was not an obstacle definitely book store I love new books!

5. Heads or Tails?

No preference but for this exercise I'd go with TAILS!

Know Me Better

Know Me Better is a new weekly feature hosted by Kathy at I Am A Reader Not A Writer. Weekly Kathy will post 5 questions (sourced from Author Interviews) which she will personally answer. Participants can do the same by either commenting on Kathy's Know Me Better post for the week or by doing a blog post like I have and linking to it on the linky below.

I cannot believe it's been nearly a week since my first Know Me Better (KMB) better, oh how time goes by oh so quickly! Really enjoying this feature, thanks Kathy for thinking of this.

1. I can't live without...

Excluding living and breathing (my family,  friends and pets) I'd say my Nook with thousands of pre-loaded ebooks and my internet connection with a device to use it on (phone, tablet, computer). I can't stand being bored, even standing in line for a minute I gotta get a book out and start reading or start browsing the web LOL

2. Do you make your bed every morning?

I try to and there was a time when I got into the habit of doing it but lately I've just been too busy but now that this topic has been brought up, I'm going to make that effort to start the habit again of doing my bed. It's so nice to come out of the shower in your PJ's and getting into a nice made-up bed.

3. City or Country?

I actually enjoy weekends away at the country. It's so peaceful and just nice and relaxing but in reality there's no way I'd be able to live in the country, way too boring for me, so my answer...City!

4. Most Embarrassing Moment?

I must have repressed it in my memory because honestly, I can't really think of any that I'd say would be "most embarrassed" but I do get embarrassed quite quickly but nothing I haven't been able to get over straight away.

Edit:- I just remembered a quite recent embarrassing moment.

My bf at the time and I were at the traffic lights and because I didn't want to walk too far to the shopping centre I jumped out at the lights. I do not know what the heck happened there but when I jumped out the pavement was slightly uneven and because I was jumping out of the car I didn't have stable footing and I put one foot down and stumbled and nearly fell.

You could nearly say I did fall I just did not fall flat on my face! So everyone at that set of traffic lights and everyone driving past (very busy street and city) would have seen me!!! For someone looking at the scene it looked like I got tossed out of the car LOL

5. What do you think of book trailers?

To be honest I haven't watched that many, but like anything some are made great and it really makes you anticipate reading the book whilst others are just ok. Having said that, I certainly think it should be something that is encouraged amongst Authors, it's just another media technique to promote the books out there and some people are very visual so this is perfect for those readers.

Know Me Better

Know Me Better is a new weekly feature hosted by Kathy at I Am A Reader Not A Writer. Weekly Kathy will post 5 questions (from Author Interview Questions) which she will personally answer. Participants can do the same by either commenting on Kathy's Know Me Better post for the week or by doing a blog post like I have and linking to it here

This is the first time I'm participating in this meme. As some of you may know I'm still trialing most memes, so far I've decided on Stacking the Shelves, Top Ten Tuesday and Feature & Follow Friday. If you have any other weekly features that you'd like to recommend to me, please leave a comment below.

I really like this feature as it would give me the chance to get to know other Bloggers and my readers and fellow bloggers can get to know me in return.

1. Is there anything you would like to say to or ask your favorite Author?
I'd like to have a long conversation with them! I'll ask about everything about their books, their life and really get to know them and of course I'll be asking them to sign and personalize my books.

2. Are you a Dreamer or a Realist?

Too much of a Realist that I sometimes come across as a bit blunt.

3. Theater or Rental?

Both. I enjoy going to the movies but I also do enjoy sitting at the comfort of my own home in my PJ's, popcorn and munchies and putting a rental on.

4. Share a Family Tradition?

My family is spread around the world so we don't have a family tradition that we participate in yearly. However, when we are altogether during the Christmas to New Year holiday we always do road trips.

5. Favorite late night snack?

It really depends, I go through my phases where I would eat something non-stop for weeks on end and then I'll get sick of it and then move on to something else. The most recent would have to be banana cake/loaf from Michelle's Patisserie and Sara Lee's Sticky Date Pudding.
