Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
This week's Question?
Could you ever pick a favorite book or is it like choosing your favorite child?
I could not choose a favourite book, I think it'd be worse than choosing a favourite child as there are so many more choices LOL.

Book Blogger Hop - Emerged better...

Do you ever feel like you have emerged better for reading a book?
(Suggested by Rubina @ Booklove)
"Better" can be interpreted in many different ways. I don't feel that a book needs to have a "moral to the story" for it to make me "better". For me, if I read a book and I enjoy the story and every moment I am immersed with the characters and world...to me that's made me better. It maybe from an expanded knowledge due to the book, or just pure enjoyment, once I finish the book, I feel that I have become a better person just because I had the opportunity to share in the Author's journey of a wonderful piece of work.
Who hasn't read this and have had some emotional reaction to this brilliant story.
P.S. I love you by Cecelia Ahern
I cried in this book, and years later I still recall what happened in the book, so that means it really struck a chord with me.
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
Like the book above I am not 100% sure why it struck so much of a chord with me, but years on I still remember the story and I remembered having major book hangover from these books.
What books has struck a chord with you, and have you been able to pinpoint why? Also let me know, which books have given you hangovers? Please comment below...let's chat!

Book Blogger Hop - Writing to Authors
3:00 pm | Posted by

The hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
This week's Question?
Have you ever thought of writing a respectful, but angry letter to an author to ask them WHY they killed off one of your favorite characters in a novel?
(Suggested by Maria from A Night's Dreams of Books)
I cannot think, of the top of my head a favourite character that has been killed off, not to say there hasn't been, but I can't remember, so my answer for this week is no.
However, I am not opposed to emailing an Author...well wanting to anyway, to ask them what happened to the characters beyond the book. A lot of times I'm really interested with secondary characters as most books wrap it up for the main characters but you are so curious about the secondary characters, what happens to them???
Am I the only strange one that wants to know what happens to the characters beyond what the Author has written?

Talon by Julie Kagawa
Series: Talon #5Publication Date: April 24, 2018
TODAY, WE STRIKE BACK.
WE SHOW TALON THAT WE WILL NEVER ACCEPT THEIR NEW WORLD.
Ember Hill has learned a shocking truth about herself: she is the blood of the Elder Wyrm, the ancient dragon who leads Talon and who is on the verge of world domination. With the Order of St. George destroyed, Ember, Riley and Garret journey to the Amazon jungle in search of one who might hold the key to take down the Elder Wyrm and Talon—if they can survive the encounter.
Meanwhile, Ember’s brother, Dante, will travel to China with a message for the last Eastern dragons: join Talon or die. With the stakes rising and the Elder Wyrm declaring war, time is running out for the rogues and any dragon not allied with Talon.
The final battle approaches. And if Talon is victorious, the world will burn.
I am currently listening to Legion book 4 in the Talon series and I have thoroughly enjoyed this series! This is the series that got me into listening to Audiobooks. Have you read the Talon series? How are you liking it? What books are you waiting on?

Book Blogger Hop - Organising Book Review

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Billy from Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.
This week's Question?
How do you organise your book for reviews? Does it work for you or have had to change it?
Since I have only just started blogging again the books I'm due to review are not set with a due date, so for those I don't really organise it in any way, unless it's a series, I TRY to review it one after the other if I read the books consecutively. I am so interested in everyone's answer for this in hope that I may find a better way than my current state of affairs.
However, when I participated in Blog Tours, Author Interviews and received books from Netgalley or Publishers I would use a monthly calendar where I note any commitments I may have set to ensure that I have it posted on time. I would also write down due dates for reading books by. For e.g. if my Netgalley book is due for publication on 1st of May I would endeavour to have it read by the week before so it gives me ample time to write the post, this obviously does not always happen, but again with an extra week buffer I can take my time.

This week's Question?
Is there a fictitous town in a book that you would love to live in? What makes it appealing?
What's not there to like? It just looks like such a beautiful town with amazing historical architecture. The shops are amazing and oh so unique, where else can you buy a wand that CHOOSES you? Only at Ollivanders! I would love to have Butterbeer at The Three Broomsticks and try out all the different flavoured beans from Honeydukes and last but not least, to just live in Flourish & Blotts.
What town did you choose for this week's Hop? Please link in the comments below so I can check out your Hop, and if you chose Hogsmeade, let me know if you have the same reasons as me!

Book Blogger Hop + Feature & Follow Friday #44
4:00 pm | Posted by

Book Blogger Hop hosted by Coffee Addicted Writer
Do you use bookmarks? If so, do you match them to the book you're reading or do you use random scraps of paper?
(Suggested by Bunnita @ Worth Reading)
I'd love to answer that I have a beautiful bookmark which I use regularly when reading my books, but no...I'm a random scrap of paper gal, whatever is nearby at the time, I don't know why considering I do have bookmarks around.
However, after doing this topic, I'm going to find a beautiful personalised handmade bookmark from Etsy and I'll start using it. I won't be "matching" it to each of the books I read as that would get far too expensive, but I will make more of an effort in using a proper bookmark.
Do you use a bookmark? If you do, which is it, where did you get it from and do you find it's good to use?
Next week @ Book Blogger Hop
Do you collect things that are book related? Like bookmarks, nameplates, 1st editions.
The Rules:-
- You MUST follow BOTH hosts Rachel @ Parajunkee and Alison @ Alison Can Read
