Weekly Wrap-Up

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kim @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Life Beyond Books

I'm slowly getting better...I hope. I've thought that a few times, blogged about it, and it's come back!

On a more positive note, my family and I went for an overnight beach getaway, and we had such an amazing time. It's only 2.5 hrs drive from home, but because I'm the sole driver we always stay overnight, to get 2 days of beach. Alas, the weather turned terrible once we arrived, we still had a lovely time and got one day of beach time.

We still made use of our time there, had little explorer expeditions...we love the area but don't know it well, so we decided to eat at a quaint Irish pub, all antique furnishings, and explored the cool little stores in the area. We all still had a lovely time...that's all that matters.

Today Hubby & I went to a tattoo expo in Sydney; Rites of Passage and seen a contortionist and pole dancer perform, and it's truly amazing what these people can do with their bodies! The pole dancer was literally suspended on the side only held by her HANDS...it's so fascinating!

They also had some cool stickers. It's meant as ads but I personally just like taking the good ones to use on my planner or any scrapbooking I do LOL.

What have you been up to this week? What's your current read?

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!  Will also be linking up to Mailbox Monday. All books are linked to Goodreads, if you want to add to your shelf.

Thank you Simon & Schuster for this copy, I have been so excited to read this book!

I'm so EXCITED to FINALLY get a copy of the Hardcover Collector's Edition of Vicious by VE Schwab. I've been stalking for it for MONTHS at The Book Depository, but each time I would get a notification it's in stock, I'd go to check it out and it won't be there...so glad to finally get it in time for my Illumicrate Villains box!

Thank you Pan Macmillan Australia for sending me copies of the first two books of PC Cast's Tales of New World series. Loved PC Cast's House of Night series and can't wait to delve into this. I will be hosting a tour for this series soon, so stay tuned!

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

This week's Question?

It's getting close to Halloween. If you HAD to read one of these two genres, which would you prefer -- urban fantasy, or horror, and why?

(Suggested by Maria @ A Night's Dreams of Books)

Definitely Urban Fantasy, I just like the vibe more, and it's more than just whodunnit or who's the monster in disguise. Here's a list of YA Urban Fantasy.
