Who is your absolute favorite fictional female? What makes her so awesome? You could introduce us through a character interview or give us a picture – whatever you want. Be creative!

I don't really have a favourite female fictional character, there are those that I like and those I dislike but I can't really narrow the ones I "like" and choose a favourite. I'm going to choose female characters from recently read books.

Cate and Tess Cahill

The Cahill Witch Chronicles (Born Wicked & Star Cursed)

by Jessica Spotswood

This pic was sourced from Pinterest, it reminds me of a scene at the start of Born Wicked when Tess and Cate were walking in their Mother's garden.

Eternity Cure

by Julie Kagawa

Series: The Blood of Eden #2
Published: April 30, 2013
Publisher: Harlequin Teen
Genre: YA Paranormal
Source: Won
Format: Hardback (434 pages)

Allison Sekemoto has vowed to rescue her creator, Kanin, who is being held hostage and tortured by the psychotic vampire Sarren. The call of blood leads her back to the beginning—New Covington and the Fringe, and a vampire prince who wants her dead yet may become her wary ally.

Even as Allie faces shocking revelations and heartbreak like she’s never known, a new strain of the Red Lung virus that decimated humanity is rising to threaten human and vampire alike.

Page 99 of The Eternity Cure is actually a perfect page for this challenge, I'm kinda bummed that I can't include the entire thing in the challenge as it's that perfect page that can be chosen as a teaser. This page had humor, sarcasm, action and horror.

The page begins with a human woman attacking Allie (I don't know why) and Allie trying to fend off the human who seems more of a pest to her than a real threat. Allie tries to continue her conversation with Jackal. The human once again throws herself at Allie, Allie's instinct kicks in and the human find herself nearly split in half by Allie's sword.

Here's the last paragraph of the page:

"Okay." My blood brother nudged the corpse's leg with the toe of his boot. It flopped limply. "That's something completely new. Any guesses as to what that was all about?"

I loved how you asked your MC questions. I need to check out the Cahill Witches.

Nice summary for your page 99 -- It seems that you got an awesome page.. My page was mostly text messaging.

Great choices for heroines, very interesting bunch. Also, The Eternity Cure sounds very interesting, I'll definitely be looking that series up and checking out the first book.

Thanks Everyone for the comments, much appreciated. I love the character interviews LOL and I'm amazed that it was so easy to think of the answers, I'm glad you all enjoyed it too.

For those that haven't read The Cahill Witch Chronicles and/or The Blood of Eden series, I, along with the wide majority of the blogosphere LOL highly recommend!

@Book Bunny - I was so amazed at how perfect my p.99 was LOL it was definitely one of those pages you can use for teasers.

@Alyssa_Zech - I'm hoping to finish Ink through the Read-a-thon but at this point in time, I don't know if it's the high expectations because of all the hype around it but to me it's not a page-turner...not yet anyway :( Hope it gets better.
