Sunday Post #5

Sunday Post is a weekly feature hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Reviewer. It's main purpose is similar to that of a Sunday newspaper; recap of the week gone by, additions to your library and what is going on in the book blogging community.

Blog Recap

I haven't done a Sunday Post or a Blog Recap post for quite some time and because I had originally wanted to only do one of these posts once every two weeks, I thought I may as well do a blog recap on what's happened so far in July.

Summer Lovin Read-a-thon is one of the best Read-a-thons I've participated in and whilst I didn't do a great deal of reading the activities and all the interaction between the participants was fantastic! I pretty much dedicated the majority of my blog's posting for the first week of July to the Summer Lovin Read-a-thon. Check out all the fun posts:-

Here are a few other awesome activities:-

15 Day Book Blogger Challenge - this link is for Day 11 & 12 only, but the previous days link is included in the post.

Cover Reveal for Wings by Elizabeth Richards, the third and final book in the Black City Series

Book Blitzes

In The Blogosphere

The 15 Day Book Blogger Challenge was created by April at Good Books and Good Wine. We are currently in Day 12 but you can still start Day 1 from today. Join in on the fun, and check out other bloggers responses to the daily questions/topics. Click on the link or the banner for more info on the challenge.

Innocent Darkness is the first book in The Aether Chronicles by Suzanne Lazear. With the upcoming release of book 2, Charmed Vengeance, Suzanne has organised a Read-along for Innocent Darkness on her blog. It's not too late to join and discussion posts aren't closed, you can catch up as the book is so addictive that you don't want to stop turning the pages. It's been so hard for me to stay true to the Read-along chapter schedule.

As you all must know I'm a huge fan of Read-a-thons I really enjoy it and I love challenging myself to read more, I also love the whole community based reading. So I was thrilled to find that one of the blogs I subscribe to, Phantasmic Reads is co-hosting a Read-a-thon, Beat The Heat! Click on the banner above or the link to sign up and for more info. The Read-a-thon runs from July 29th through to August 11th, a two week event.

Last but certainly not least is the Netgalley Knockout which is hosted by Goldilox and the Three Weres. I'm participating in Red House Book's annual Netgalley Reading Challenge, so I thought this would be a fantastic event to participate in. It's generally a Read-a-thon for any of your "for review" ebooks, the ebooks does not have to be from Netgalley, it just has to be an ebook for review. Click the link or the banner for more info and to signup.
