Weekly Wrap-Up

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kim @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Life Beyond Books

I haven't really done much this week. I am just starting to get back on my feet after weeks of being sick, so I've been taking it easy. I have finally been able to get my (usually weekly) acupressure massage and acupuncture, which felt so good! When done weekly it really helps with my tension headaches.

We haven't really done anything in the home front. Had a date day with the Hubs, we went and bought the family footwear; Hubs got runners, son got the new Michael Jordans...so cute, and I just got Adilette slides...waiting on the warmer weather so I can wear it. We also had a nice lunch, and got Mrs Fields cookies and brownies for home...which is the BEST cookies EVER!

Son got the cold from school at the start of the week, so haven't really been going out when we don't need to, it's been quite windy, and quite cold, so we've been doing the bare minimum.

Was wanting to watch Alexandra Bracken's The Darkest Minds movie, but I am yet to read the book, so I decided we will make it for date day next week, will give me time to read it.

I also received Ink & Wonder's Rise Up box and it was fantastic!  Paris makes the most beautiful woodmarks...love her designs. Check out her website, a full review of the box will be coming soon, so stay tuned.

I forgot to mention in last week's Sunday Post, that I received my first ever Fairyloot box. I will be reviewing the box hopefully this week.

I am also participating in #OTSPSecretSister, unfortunately there were not enough Aussies participating, so I couldn't do the gift giving tier, but I am participating on the penpal level, and have received my penpal's first card. I have sent a reply and sent my other penpal (you get 2) a card too, to introduce myself. Have you participated in #OTSPSecretSister before? How do you like it?

What have you all been up to this week?

The Week Gone By

The Week Ahead

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!  Will also be linking up to Mailbox Monday. All books are linked to Goodreads, if you want to add to your shelf.

These are SIGNED copies from Kinokuniya Sydney.

I like to collect signed copies of books, but being in Australia, not as many Authors come here. I unfortunately did not meet Victoria Aveyard, these are only signed not personalised.

I've spent a great deal on postage costs in the past, purchasing books signed by the Author, that's why I'm so happy there are now virtual signing services eg. Good Choice Reading, it gives overseas readers more opportunity to get signed copies.

I think that may also be why many International readers subscribe to book boxes, as many come with signed books/bookplates. Do you like special edition books from these boxes? The exclusive cover/artwork and sprayed edges really get me. Do you think these are worth it, for the books alone?

Do you collect signed copies? If so, are you lucky enough to attend tours and meet the Authors?

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

This week's Question?

Do you follow other book blogs and if so, who are your top 3 bloggers?

(Suggested by Amber @ The Literary Phoenix)

I follow MANY bookish folks, to give it some variation I will name one from each of the main social media of the book blogging world;

Hailey @ Hailey in Bookland ~ Booktube
Brittani @ Hope, Faith & Books ~ Blog
Michelle @ Berry Book Pages ~ Bookstagram

I could name so many more but we will be here for awhile. Who are your favourite bookish peeps? Leave in the comments section as I'm always in the lookout for more blogs/booktube/bookstagram to follow.
