Feature & Follow Friday & Book Blogger Hop

If you see a book you like but you realise it has 400-500+ pages, will you still read it?

It really depends on how much I like it. If I really wanted to read it, then yes it wouldn't matter the number of pages. However, I need to be totally "in the mood" for that book. I may even start reading it, but due to its length also pause every now and then to read another shorter book, then come back to it.

Q. How do you organize your books? Either at home on your bookshelves or on your reading-device?

My bookshelf is currently a bit messy but I do have an organisation technique to it, that may not make sense to anyone else but it does to me LOL

Very Top of the bookshelf (so technically not a shelf) - I've got all my box sets.
Top Shelf - Have larger spaces so I've got mostly series' and hardbacks that are slightly larger in size

The rest of the shelves are just organised depending on space and size. However, I do make sure that:-

  • A particular Authors books are altogether
  • Series' are grouped altogether and in order (obviously)
  • Genres apart from YA are grouped together, my YAs aren't grouped together because 80%+ of my books are YA so it'd be impossible to group them altogether, but for example I've got all my Orange Penguin classics together, all my Penguin Classics with the decorative covers altogether, all my Chic Lit books together, all my Non-Fiction together etc etc.
Wish I had been more organised and I would have taken a photo of my bookshelf. I forgot to also mention that each of my shelf holds 2 row of books, so the front row are on display but the 2nd row isn't.

I don't mind reading big books either so long as they keep me riveted :) Your blog is darling by the way; new follower!

I currently put my books wherever there's space left in my shelves, but I do prioritize series so they're all together! I've been thinking of placing all of my books alphabetically by author pretty soon though!

New Bloglovin' and GFC follower! :)

Sophie thanks for being a new follower, following you right back.

I generally have mine by Authors, so all particular Author has all their books in the one section, but I don't do alphabetically.

it drives me insane when books don't match in size. For example Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy series, the first 3 are normal paperbacks then they super sized it! So now the series don't look as good together :(

Oh wow, you're a lot more organized than I am! I do try to group books with the same "interest" together but I'm currently too much on the move to have a good system! Also, I do do the same with large books, in the sense of taking occasional breaks with other books! Thanks for visiting my post yesterday :) I hope you have a great weekend!

Same here...if I like the book, I don't mind the length, but I do have to admit that I do shy away from lengthy reads. :)

Thanks for coming by my blog earlier.

Happy Hopping!!

The length of the book doesn't really matter, as long as the book is interesting enough :)
