That could be a really cool tool. (IF I would keep up with it).
I tend to think tangibly. What if you used a rolodex in a different way - adding a card for every book, then you would see the doubles right there and you could have everything alphabetical. I use a spreadsheet for all of my unread books, but an app to keep track of the books I own and have read would really be useful. Especially since I lend my books to people all the time.

Thanks for stopping by my BBH! I do have TBR shelves on Goodreads and Shelfari, but that's no guarantee I'll read the books on those lists in any type of order. Besides, I don't even own most of those books (yet!)

You have an interesting answer about what to do with books once you've read them. I donate them, too -- but only if I don't like them at all. In other words, if I HATE them, and never want to see them again. That doesn't happen too often, but it DOES happen.

I can't donate or give away a book if I LOVE it. It's mine forever!! It's my treasure, and I will never be able to part with it!

Thanks for sharing!! : )Maria Beharhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13635809880830316283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3273620051237047590.post-56297571559580044702013-07-28T09:12:25.941+10:002013-07-28T09:12:25.941+10:00GREAT idea for organizing...whatever works for eac...GREAT idea for organizing...whatever works for each person. It has been difficult to organize which books to read first for a while now. And like you said, I think I might have more to-read books too than read books. Which makes it even more difficult to choose which book to read first!
