ReplyDeleteJust reading this list makes me want to travel around Europe!
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I love DAUGHTER OF SMOKE AND BONE, HARRY POTTER, NAME OF THE STAR, and THE BOOK THIEF. Their settings are so vivid!

I wish there were more YA set in Europe being published these days, esp. historicals. Not only is it one of my areas of historical expertise and greatest interest, but it's also kind of boring to only read books set in the country the writer comes from.
ReplyDeleteI also chose setting in Europe! We have quite similar list, I love it haha! :)
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten Tuesday.
Visited you back, your right we had a few of the same books the same. I've got some of those books you listed in my TBR pile, Gail Carriger and Cassandra Clare's series.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting!
Carrie Anne visited you back, I loved your topic.
ReplyDeleteHARRY POTTER! Whee! But seriously, sorry...fangirl moment just happened haha I also love seeing Heist Society on your list! I'm really a big fan of that series, and I think it's massively underrated! :)
ReplyDeleteSara totally agree with you, I think that the Book Thief and Daughter of Smoke & Bone is fairly a close second to the HP series, I don't think anyone can top the settings in the HP series though :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, I visited your blog right back and commented too :D
I would love to visit Europe, it just sounds so dramatic and beautiful everywhere in Europe, but I love to visit Venice and Paris the most. I tried to find your blog but couldn't from your comment, so if you'd like to link back to your TTT post, I'd gladly stop by.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting!
Thanks Greg! I'd love to check out your TTT post if you've got one, please link back so I can visit you right back :D
ReplyDeleteI didn't do a TTT but I did do a Teaser Tuesday, if you want to check it out. It's here http://greglhill.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteThanks, have a great day!
Thanks Greg, checking it out now. Thanks for the visit :D
ReplyDeleteI love books set in Europe. Looks like I need to check some of these out :)
ReplyDeleteOoo, I love books set in Europe, especially the UK. Of course I love HP, and The Name of the Star is great! I'm a sucker for ghost stories. I really want to read The Girl with the Steel Corset. I was in B&N the other day, and I saw the third book in the series, but they didn't have the first two :( I would have bought the whole series, if they had them.
ReplyDeleteI have Venom out from the library right now, and I can't wait to read that. And I still need to read the Laini Taylor books. I'm slacking!
The Harry Potter books made my list too. Another book set in England that I really liked was Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma. Great list!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT.
I love this list, especially how you broke it down by country! I've got Luxe, but I haven't read it yet.
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT
Stop by my giveaway if you have a moment!

Yay Harry Potter made your list! At least one of those books makes most of my lists. I love books set in Europe - they always have a more romantic dreamy sort of feeling...or maybe I'm just being weird lol :D
ReplyDeleteI just finished Heist Society and I liked all the places Kat went to. Yay for Harry Potter. Rest umm, haven't read as yet...
ReplyDeleteAlso, you should totally read Just One Day, it's set in Europe and America and it's a favorite book of mine. Love it.
Harry Potter. <3 Sigh. Need to re-read those :) Ohh, everyone is talking about The Book Thief. I think I need to read it soon, maybe ;p Awesome top ten :)
ReplyDeleteSunrise Avenue
ReplyDeleteThanks for asking!
Name of the Star was an oddly fun book.
ReplyDeleteAmy don't worry that's not weird at all, I totally feel the same way as you do, it's nearly like Europe is like a dream-like place with gondolas, old historic churches/museums etc
ReplyDeleteI'm yet to finish the Luxe series but hopefully you enjoy it, I have started to love historical fiction lately :)
ReplyDeleteLyn I can't wait to read book 2.
ReplyDeleteJess I do hope you get a chance to read Luxe series, it really is a great series :D Visiting you right back ;)
ReplyDeleteDon't worry Quinn there's sooooo many touted series out there that I haven't read as yet, like Tahereh Mafi's (although I've got both books), Leigh Bardugo's and oh my the list just goes on, and I just have to really stop and just read from my personal pile!
ReplyDeleteLauren if you have other books to recommend that are set in Europe I'd love to pick up more books :D
ReplyDeleteAlyssa visited you right back I loved the setting you chose, original :D The books listed are also fantastic!
ReplyDeleteLauren I can't find a website address for your profile, please link me to your survey as I'd love to come and visit and have a read of your answers too :D
ReplyDeleteLauren did you do a TTT post? I can't find a website address for your profile so if you'd like to link me back I can visit :D
ReplyDeleteYeah, for sure! My url is booksteame.com :)
ReplyDeleteDaughter of Smoke and Bone - I LOVE that book. And the setting does make it all the more authentic. I have a copy of the girl with the steel corset. I need to read it! Great list.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate! I'm yet to read the sequel to Daughter of Smoke & Bone, even though I loved it, I've just had a huge TBR pile and haven't gotten around to it :(
ReplyDeleteThe Girl with the Steel Corset's trilogy is finished I believe and all books are released, so you can read the entire series, one book after the other :D I love reading series' like that.
Thanks Lauren, love your choice of setting, I was going to choose the beach too as I love summer and the beach, but I had thought that I recently chosen that for a recent TTT topic already.
ReplyDeleteGreat book choices :D
I love to do that too! Except when the series is too long... I tried to read Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series back to back.... there's over 20 books. I gave up at around 17 or so :P
ReplyDeleteDays of Blood and Starlight is great too. I adore it I'm at the stage where I'm almost counting down the days till book 3 comes out :P
Good answers. Personally I couldn't think of anything so didn't participate in this weeks
