Weekly Wrap-up

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kim @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

Life Beyond Books

This week has been busy! We had a family overnight getaway last weekend to see other family, I can't believe it's been a week since we went! It only felt like yesterday since we came back. Time is just flying πŸ˜“ We had a great time, really didn't do much, but that's what I loved about it. We did have dinner at an All-you-can-eat restaurant which I LOVE and their desserts are delectable and so cute as it was all miniature bite sizes. My favourites were the creme brulee and bread & butter pudding. What's your favourite dessert?

Whilst in Newcastle (where we went for our getaway) I found a little bookstore that were having a sale of 3 books for $20! I could have gone CRAZY but they didn't have a huge selection of YA. I really should have checked their adult selection closer in case they had it sprinkled amongst the adult fiction shelves...oh well, next time.

Shops have also had all their toy sales and lay-by till Christmas so I got all of the younger kids stuff lay-by'd...takes the pressure off during Christmas, so that's one relief.

It was also Hubby's birthday yesterday, his Nan's birthday Saturday past, and his daughter's birthday tomorrow, so we've had a lot of happenings the last few days.

I got Hubby Seasons 1-7 of The Game of Thrones DVD's as he's gotten obsessed with it. I got him into it, and now he's way ahead of me 😦

These are the flowers I got Nan. Got it on a vintage teacup set as she collects these. Flowers were from The Flower Collective, so if you ever need flowers in Queensland, Australia, check them out. Affordable, customer service was great and their items are stunning and unique.

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, may it be physical or virtual. This means you can include books you buy in physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course ebooks!  Will also be linking up to Mailbox Monday. All books are linked to Goodreads, if you want to add to your shelf.

Thank you so much Harper Collins Australia for sending me an ARC of Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa. I was squealing with excitement as it was on my Waiting on Wednesday post, and was definitely in my top 3 most anticipated release of the year.

I also got The Great Library series by Rachel Caine from my local library in time for the release of Smoke & Iron. I can't believe I still haven't read this series, although I love Rachel Caine books and love all things libraries.

Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end on Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

This week's Question?

Do you have an Instagram account? If so, do you only follow book folks?

I am very interested in what everyone's answers are for this, as I'm still trying to get the whole juggling of two accounts just right.

I have 2 Instagram accounts, one solely for my family and close friends. I do not have many followers at all in this one. I post photos of my 3 year old so I'm very selective on who I allow to "follow" me and view my photos.

I do also have an Instagram account for my blog; Paperback Princess (if you'd like to follow, I'd be honoured to have you) and I mainly follow Publishers, Authors and fellow bloggers and readers, but I do have some non-bookish people on there at the moment.

Ideally I would like to have it that my blog account only consists of bookish-related stuff and my personal account to use for everything else, it's really quite difficult to juggle two accounts, as I sometimes comment using the wrong account!

I'd love to hear what everyone else does for two accounts, and if you've got some recommendations on amazing Instagram accounts bookish related or otherwise please comment below.
